Quickstart

From sign-in to a synced sheet in about five minutes.

The exact path you’ll follow: five steps, nothing to install, and no setup work inside QuickBooks.

  1. Sign in with Google

Start free trial begins with Google sign-in, because your Figures account is your Google account. A card is required for the 14-day trial, and you won’t be charged until it ends.

    • During sign-in, Google asks you to grant Figures per-file access to your Drive. That part is required: it’s how Figures creates your report sheets and writes each morning’s figures into them.
    • It’s also strictly limited: Figures can only open the Sheets it creates or ones you pick. It never sees the rest of your Drive, not your files, not your folders.
  2. Connect QuickBooks

From your dashboard, choose Connect to QuickBooks and sign in with Intuit. Pick the company you want, approve read-only access, and you land back in Figures ready to sync.

    • Read-only by design: Figures can pull the reports you choose and can never create, edit, or delete anything in your books.
    • Connect one company now and add more whenever. Each connected company is $10 a month, and your 14-day trial covers them all.
  3. Pick a report and where it lands

Choose Add sync, pick a report, then choose its destination: a new Google Sheet named after your company, or an existing spreadsheet you pick from your Drive. It takes about a minute.

    • QuickBooks’ exact report names (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, General Ledger, and more), so you always know what you’re getting.
    • Defaults are filled in: accrual basis, summarized by month, fiscal year-to-date. Change any of them as you go.
    • Picking an existing spreadsheet grants Figures access to that one file and nothing else in your Drive.
  4. Set your morning schedule

Daily is the default: Figures refreshes during the 6:00–7:00 AM window in your time zone, so fresh figures are waiting in your sheet before your day starts.

    • Prefer a slower rhythm? Weekly (Monday mornings) or manual-only, where nothing refreshes until you choose Sync now.
    • Daily on purpose: fresh every morning is the promise, and every synced tab shows exactly when it was last refreshed.
  5. Your first sync

Finish the wizard and the first sync starts right away (“Your P&L is on its way”), running in the background and landing in a moment, in a tab Figures manages and marks so it’s never a mystery:

Last synced Jun 10, 2026 6:24 AM · Period Fiscal year-to-date · Accrual basis · Synced by Figures. Don't edit this tab; build formulas in your own tabs.

    • From then on it refreshes on your schedule: fresh figures every morning, before your day starts.
    • Build formulas, charts, and dashboards in your own tabs. Refreshes never touch them.
    • If a refresh ever fails, your sheet keeps the last good figures, and Figures tells you what happened and what to do next.
